Oaxaca, an artistic, cultural and gastronomic legacy.

The capital city Oaxaca de Juárez stands out for the famous temple of Santo Domingo de Guzmán, a monumental architectural complex of the Dominican order and one of the most beautiful examples of the Baroque style in Mexico. On the tourist walk of the city there are several museums, galleries, handicraft shops and restaurants.

The archaeological sites of Monte Albán and Mitla are a mandatory visit to learn about the zopotec culture that inhabited this region. Oaxaca also has towns of artisans, Arrazola a place famous for its carved and painted copal wood figures that are displayed and sold as figures called Alebrijes. The town of San Bartolo Coyotepec is known worldwide for the crafts made with black clay. In Teotitlán del Valle, artisans make wool rugs using ancient techniques and make shell candles with beeswax.

Mezcal is a typical drink of Oaxaca and is extracted from the agave, if you want to know the manufacturing process and taste the different flavors that are offered then you must visit a mezcal factory. Hierve el Agua is the name of the place where the spectacular petrified waterfalls are located, one is 30 meters and the other is 12 meters high, here you can swim and walk along the trails.

On a tour of the Sierra Juárez you will learn more about the flora and fauna of the region, in addition to admiring wonderful landscapes during a walk through the forests.
