Departure from Chihuahua
The operator will pick you up at your hotel where you are staying to start the tour, a journey of approximately 35 kilometers where we will visit the ex-hacienda of "El Torreón" where we can appreciate the restoration of one of the oldest haciendas in the region from since 1800 and that it was a stronghold in the Apache battles. Rebuilt and restored in the last 14 years. Then we will go to visit one of the caves that served as a refuge and ceremonial center during the journeys to the desert for ceremonial purposes. The peyote ritual and both Apache and Rarámuris dances are identified. Approximately 20 minute walk in each direction. Then we will go to the last frontier of the Apache battles, the Ex-Hacienda of "El Sauz"; today the museum of the apacharía and cowboys. Here we will be able to appreciate a sample of war utensils and common use during the Apache war. We will enjoy a traditional regional meal at the restaurant "Los 500 Novillos" where one of the pre-revolutionary corridos was coined.
