We will pick you up at your hotel to start the tour of Monte Albán, it is the great urban center built by the Zapotec culture. It is the most important archaeological zone of Oaxaca, it has been named by UNESCO Cultural Patrimony of Humanity together with the city of Oaxaca on December 11, 1987.
Its main buildings: The Great Plaza, Ball Game, System II, Los Danzantes, Building "J", Central Building G, H, I, The Palace, South Platform, System 7 Venados and Tomb number 7. The Great Plaza has 200 meters long by 200 meters wide, so the rocky ledges had to be cut and some holes filled.

When exploring it on January 6, 1932, the Mexican archaeologist Dr. Alfonso Caso, found a burial with a rich amount of offerings, considered a great archaeological treasure, which are exhibited in the Regional Museum of Oaxaca. The layout of the tomb has a rectangular base, composed of an anteroom and a chamber with an angular vault cover. It is one of the few that have been found, although already deteriorated but with its offerings intact.
